These terms govern your use of Smerble, a free name generator that requires no account. By using the site, you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose.
Using Smerble
Smerble is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may generate, save, copy and download as many names as you like, and you are free to use the names you generate however you wish. You do not need to credit Smerble.
No warranty on results
Names are generated randomly and are offered as ideas only. We make no promise that any name is original, unused, legally available, trademark-free, or suitable for your particular purpose. You are responsible for checking availability, trademark status and any legal requirements before you adopt a name for a business, product or brand.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site. This means, among other things, not attempting to disrupt or overload it, not scraping it at a volume that interferes with normal use, and not using it for anything unlawful. We may limit or block access where we believe the site is being abused.
Intellectual property
The Smerble name, its design, text and code belong to Smerble. Names you generate and save are yours to use. The word lists and generation methods themselves remain part of the service.
Third-party links
The site may link to external websites or services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Limitation of liability
Smerble is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from any name you choose to use based on a result it generated.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes. Continued use of Smerble after an update means you accept the revised terms.
